Strikeouts for Scholarships
Seton Hall University and WCBS 880 AM — the Yankees Radio Network — are teaming up to support Strikeouts for Scholarships, a program in honor of Ed Lucas '62, longtime baseball reporter and analyst. Ed Lucas lost his sight shortly after watching Bobby Thompson hit "The shot heard 'round the world" in 1951. Ed is the father of Ed Lucas, who is the coach of the BTSA Bulldogs. These scholarships will provide hundreds of Seton Hall students who have a disability with financial assistance while earning their college degrees.
